The Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, often described as the father of the tango! I love this photograph because there isn’t really enough accordion love in the world.
I first came across the work of Piazzolla when I heard an amazing composition at a weekly woodwind masterclass. Someone performed his Histoire du Tango for flute and guitar. It’s just gorgeous, and also quite difficult.
