Throwing things out is cathartic! The other day, I threw out a whole heap of useless things from the time I last went to the UK (where I’m from, originally), in 2002.

I found a few things relating to my three day trip to Paris, amongst them my guide to the Musée d’Orsay. I’d taken all these amazingly detailed notes, all in French, reminding me of what was probably the time in my life when I was most fluent in French.

This is a photo of a colour print I bought at said art gallery, and it’s of Monet’s waterlilies. One of my favourite works (I do love French impressionist painting), and even better, I saw it in real life. One of my fondest life memories.
